Notes from meeting with the CEO:
**Ceo mentioned that she needs help when it comes to getting full time workers, I attached what she can do to maximize the workers she already has, but I need help with a plan of her being able to get more full-time workers. I was thinking we can include that, In order to get full time workers, she’s going to need to have a competitive salary and good benefits. Or it would be smart of her to benefit from taking in interns or those fresh out of undergrad, you
can include something like that. This is also going to bring a need for more fundraising and grants. You can speak about this, and ideas for fundraising, I mentioned that CEO should have an annual gala or annual fancy dinner or something to help with this. CEO definitely needs more fundraising tips.

CEO also mentioned, she doesn’t have a revenue model. I attached a sample/ template of one she can use.

CEO also said she is trying to push her paid services to have more of a stable income, I included some things about that in the attachment.

CEO can benefit from marketing. CEO needs to increase her marketing and social media management to put her business out there and to expand. We are living in a time where it is easy to use social media as an advantage for marketing. CEO can also include some type of service using social media where she can get paid from social media as well, creating reels and content.

CEO can create a booking link or some easier way to access services on her site, if she wants to encourage her paid services, she needs to remodel her website, it isn’t attention grabbing and quiet confusing and, in this day, and age everyone has a short attention span. CEO needs a better site.

To answer your initial questions now:
What are the primary sources of funding for your organization? Grants (with primary support from the Pincus Family Foundation and BEAM Collective), fundraising and DOE school contracts.
How do you manage and track the funds received from grants and donations? We have a bookkeeper and an accountant. We also log receipts for program spends using Quickbooks to communicate with our bookkeeper and accountant.
What is the organization’s revenue model? We’re currently developing this. Our primary source of income is through grants and fundraising. Grants depend on application acceptances and fundraising depends on how much people are willing to give at any given time. For more stable income we are exploring ways to push our paid services for a more consistent income. See a sample of our program pricing in brochures attached. These services are offered BELOW market rate to be inclusive of price points for families but also to keep in line with pricing rules as a 501c3 non profit organization.
How does the organization track and measure its financial performance? We have quarterly meetings with our bookkeepers who generate reports that are shared with the treasurer from our Board of Directors (full board listed on website). The treasurer from our Board of Directors creates easy to read financial reports to share with the board so that everyone can make informed decisions as we move forward with program planning and fundraising.
