The site for my practicum education is a Substance Abuse treatment program and Primary care clinic. The population that we serve are drug addicts. Drug addiction comes with other comorbidities, such as Diabetes, high blood pressure, COPD, and HIV Aides to name a few. Drugs that they abuse include, Some of the drugs used by this population are Fentanyl, opioids, Xylazine, cannabis (Marijuana), alcohol, heroin, hydrocodone, Methadone, Morphine, cocaine, methamphetamine, and alprazolam. and diazepam.
