Original Post: For this discussion, you will critically analyze the claims of the argument in a meme of your choice. Your post should include:
The meme you are analyzing (the uploaded picture or a link to the meme).
Explain the meme’s argument in 2-3 sentences.
In One paragraph – analyze the claims of the meme’s argument. Include the following: You should break it down. Ask yourself: is the argument factual? How do you know it is factual? Can you provide evidence that proves it to be true? Is it only partially true? Or completely false? You can use Factcheck.org to help you figure out if information is factual.
In another 1-2 sentences: Identify a logical fallacy or error in reasoning that is in your meme. Explain how it is a fallacy or error.
Think about what you learned in this section of the course. Use the concepts we have learned in class, errors in reasoning, and logical fallacies to help you be critical of the meme you chose. Use textbook/course concepts with proper APA citation. Also make sure to cite your outside research of the truthfulness of your meme.
