Mid-Term Essay
Please write three paragraphs about one of the four theories/models listed in the lecture “theories of the receiver” …you must use one of the four.

Essay Prompts:

Part 1 – discuss the core tenants of the theory you choose, please cite (using APA) one of the references related to an early publish (one I provided or one near in date).

Part 2 – please now apply the theory from above to a persuasive communication scenario. Tell me how the theory helps you understand what is going on as an individual or group processes a given persuasive message.

Part 3 – please now discuss briefly any critiques or holes you see in the theory. This can be applied or conceptual, but it must make sense, and it must demonstrate you understand how the theory was intended to work.
